During the spawning period of the cotton bollworm, spraying a 2% solution of calcium superphosphate leachate can effectively drive the pests to concentrate in specific areas, making it easier to control them. Nitrogen-based fertilizers such as urea, ammonium bicarbonate, and ammonia water are not only essential for plant growth but also possess volatile and fumigating properties that can deter or harm certain pests.
