Representative Xie Chunchao emphasized that the Guangzhou Asian Games would serve as a platform to promote local Chinese brands. He highlighted that during the Beijing Olympics, fireworks and sound systems were provided by Guangzhou-based companies, showcasing the city's industrial strength and brand reputation. Deputy Mayor Xu Ruisheng, also the executive deputy secretary-general of the Asian Games Organizing Committee, acknowledged the importance of public support. He mentioned that he had taken note of recent suggestions from NPC deputies and CPPCC members on how to successfully organize the Games. While economic challenges have impacted preparations, he stated that market development has reached its initial targets, and security plans are being finalized. Xu added that the Asian Games will act as a bridge for Chinese enterprises to expand globally. Liu Jiangnan, deputy secretary-general of the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee, confirmed that market development is progressing well. He revealed that revenue has exceeded 20 billion yuan so far. The Games have drawn on Olympic experiences in branding and sponsorship. For example, instead of using two "le" (a common naming convention), the official drink is Wanglaoji herbal tea, which not only promotes the Guangdong brand but also highlights traditional Chinese culture. Recently, Zui, an audio sponsor of the Asian Games, has also expanded its reach by becoming a sponsor of a beach sports event in Bali, demonstrating the growing influence of the Games' brand. Overall, the discussions reflected a strong commitment to ensuring the success of the Asian Games while promoting sustainability, local industry, and global visibility.
