To stimulate milk production in female rabbits, use 50 to 100 grams of fresh fish. If fresh fish is unavailable, dried fish can be used (preferably unsalted). Boil the fish in a pot and feed either the broth or the meat to the mother rabbit. Repeat this process for 3 to 5 consecutive days. The next day after feeding, you may notice the female rabbit scratching around her abdomen. When the rabbit starts pulling out her own hair, collect the pulled hair. As she notices the missing fur, she will continue to pull more hair from her belly until the area becomes bald. This behavior helps expose the nipples, which can significantly improve milk flow. If the first-time mother doesn’t start pulling hair on her own, you can gently assist by removing some fur to ensure the nipples are fully visible. This method has proven effective in promoting lactation. After giving birth, it’s beneficial to give the lactating rabbit a bowl of brown sugar water made with boiling water. This helps increase milk production. Soak 20 to 30 soybeans in boiled water and cook them into a mash to feed the rabbits. You can also prepare soymilk by blending the cooked beans with water, cooling it down, and offering it to the mother rabbit to drink. However, avoid overfeeding to prevent digestive issues. For soybean cakes, crush them and soak in water for 9 to 12 hours. Use the soaking water as a drink for the rabbits, and mix the remaining residue into their regular feed. This provides additional nutrients that support milk production. Earthworms are another natural remedy. Feed the rabbits fresh or dried earthworms, crushing them and providing about 10 to 15 grams per day. Feeding them for four consecutive days can boost milk production by up to 1.5 times. Peanut rice milk is also effective. Soak 2 to 3 pieces of peanuts in warm water for 1 to 2 hours until fully softened, then mix them into the rabbit's feed. Do this 2 to 3 times a day, and you should see a significant improvement in milk supply. If the rabbit is not producing enough milk naturally, consider using prolactin tablets. Administer 2 tablets per day for 3 to 4 days to help stimulate milk production. These methods, when used together, can greatly enhance the milk yield of your lactating rabbits, ensuring they can properly nourish their young. Always monitor the rabbit's health and adjust feeding amounts accordingly.
