Fermented pig manure is not suitable for feeding pigs due to its low nutritional value, but it serves as an excellent organic fertilizer and fish feed. Many types of fish enjoy eating this fermented material, making it a valuable resource in aquaculture. When applied to farmland, about two tons of fermented pig manure per acre can significantly improve soil quality. This natural fertilizer is safe, eco-friendly, and often outperforms chemical fertilizers in promoting plant growth.
To prepare the fermented manure, start with 70% fresh pig manure (or alternatively, pigeon droppings or duck manure can be used if available). Add 15% corn flour, 10% grain bran, 5% wheat bran, and approximately 1000 grams of Golden Baby Grade 2 feed starter per ton of mixture. Mix everything thoroughly, then add water until the moisture content reaches around 65%. Place the mixture in a sealed plastic bag or tank and let it ferment for three days. In colder months, fermentation may take a bit longer, while in summer, it can be completed in just a couple of days. The process is done when the smell disappears and a slight sour odor is present — indicating that the fermentation is complete and the material is ready for use.
In addition to being an effective fertilizer, fermented pig manure can also be processed into a high-quality compound fertilizer using the Golden Baby II fertilizer starter. The procedure is similar to the basic fermentation method. After fermentation, one ton of usable material is produced. To enhance its nutrient content, allow it to air dry and then mix in 40 kg of urea, 58 kg of phosphate fertilizer, and 46 kg of potash per ton of manure (adjusting the quantities based on specific crop needs). Thoroughly blend the ingredients and dry until the moisture level is reduced to about 40%. Finally, package the product for sale or use.
