Acacia Honey is

1 Pollen collection Collect pollen under open air conditions. The method of collection is the same as for apples, etc. Generally, flowers are collected during exquisite flowering and taken back into the room to remove petals and filaments leaving only the anthers; or the relative friction between the two florets makes the anthers fall. Place the anthers on a clean sheet of paper, place the support on top of it, cover a newspaper, etc. on the support, and place it under the sun to speed up loose powder. 2 Pollen cryogenic storage The pollen collected in the current year must not be used until the winter or the following spring, so it must be properly preserved to prevent the decline of viability. a. Low-temperature temperature Extreme temperature has no adverse effect on pollen, for example, apple remains fresh at -190°C for 2 years, and it still has germination power under -20°C for 9 years. Pollen of most fruit trees can maintain its viability for a longer period of time at low temperatures of 0 to -20°C and air relative humidity of 10% to 30%. Therefore, it is recommended that the preservation temperature of facilities for artificially assisted pollination be 0 to -20°C, preferably -20°C. The low-temperature storage of fruit tree pollen in various facilities is shown in Table 1.
b. Preservation Humidity and humidity When the pollen is stored, the viability of the pollen is reduced. Therefore, when the pollen is stored, the relative humidity of the air should be kept between 20% and 30% to prevent the humidity from being too high. The general practice is to store the harvested pollen in a dry glass jar or seal it in envelopes, paper bags, and plastic wrap to protect it from moisture and humidity, and then store it at low temperatures.
c. When using the preserved pollen, first do a germination test, identify its existing viability, and then use it again.
