“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.†– Henry Miller I’ve been on the move quite a bit over the past week and a half, and while travel itself isn’t exactly new territory for me, it feels like I’m juggling so many balls at once—work, family, friends—and I’m running out of hands—or maybe it’s just my brain that’s overloaded. That’s probably why I haven’t been able to spend as much time here with you all as I’d like. I miss our virtual coffee dates and the lively conversations we used to have. Speaking of coffee, I’m typically more of a soy chai tea latte kind of person, but lately, I’ve found myself falling hard for a perfectly brewed Cuban café con leche. It’s a Miami thing, I guess, but I’m determined to master it at home too. So delicious! Recently, several people close to me have faced some pretty intense challenges—situations that felt like life or death—and it’s made everyone involved reevaluate everything. Their stories are inspiring, but also deeply personal, so I can’t share too much here. Still, hearing about their experiences has made me reflect on my own life. When you’re faced with something as overwhelming as a potential tragedy, it shifts your perspective completely. It’s like watching a movie where every moment feels heightened, and suddenly, the little things—the laughter, the quiet moments, the simple acts of kindness—take on so much more significance. Why does it often take something extreme to remind us of what truly matters? At the moment, I’m in Miami for an auto show, and while it’s been fun meeting people and chatting about cars, I’ve also had to learn how to balance professionalism with authenticity. There are times when I smile and nod, listening to people talk about their dream cars, and other times when I just want to say exactly what’s on my mind. I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with being polite, but life is too short for edited love. How do you show the people in your life how much they mean to you without holding back? For me, it’s those spontaneous texts that say nothing more than “thinking of you†or giving an extra squeeze during a hug. I love telling people how much they matter, how they bring light into my life, and I’m always looking for new ways to do that—real, heartfelt ways. It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it. So here’s my question for you: How do you let the people who matter most to you know just how much they mean to you? Let’s start a conversation about unedited love, grace, and finding joy in the small moments. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
