The use of greenhouse eggplant cultivation, the results of the initial positive value of low temperature and low light period (from the beginning of December to the middle of February the following year), prone to various physiological barriers, its causes and the corresponding prevention measures are:

1, yellow leaves.

The young leaves are bright yellow-white with green leaves on the tip and rust stains on the middle and lower leaves; more fertilizer, high humidity, excess soil acidity or manganese nutrients, inhibition of ferritin absorption, etc., easily lead to new leaf yellowing.

Preventive measures: After onset, the leaves are sprayed with 500 times ferrous sulfate (not too heavy); magnesium hydroxide and lime are applied in the field to adjust the pH of the soil; potassium is added to balance nutrition and to satisfy or promote ferritin supply.

2, buds are not open.

The ovary does not inflate and the buds do not open tightly, affecting pollination and fertilization. In the cold season, the fields are short of water and the air is humid. The pH of the soil is above 7.5. The effectiveness of boron in the soil is reduced. Excessive lime and calcium in the field may induce plant lack of boron, which can cause buds to remain open for a long time.

Preventive measures: spray borax 700 times or amino acid polypeptide pollinator on leaf surface.

3, fruit cracked.

The fruit is stiff but not inflated. The sponge tissue is tight, the skin is dull, and there are white stripes. After watering, it becomes cracked fruit. It grows short and has poor quality. After the eggplants are tethered, they will crack the fruit after being watered on sunny days. Low-temperature, low-light, high-temperature and high-light periods coincide with fruit enlargement, and the absorption of nitrogen, potassium and boron increases, and the relative requirement of phosphorus is less. If the input amount of phosphorus is too large, it will affect the absorption of potassium and boron, which will make the fruit seeds less meat and more rigid.

Preventive measures: Phosphate fertilizer is mainly applied under the seedling roots at the time of planting, and 2 to 3 kg of pure phosphorus is applied per acre at a later stage; potassium fertilizer is mainly applied during the result period.

4, fallen fruit.

In the low-temperature period, the lower leaves yellowed off and the young fruit in the high-humidity period softened and fell. When the temperature is too low, nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers are applied excessively to make the soil concentration large, and the plants will be aged due to long-term nutrient imbalance, which is the sequelae of the reduction of gibberellin production caused by zinc deficiency. The petiole and culm, stalk, and fruit junctions were separated and fell off due to lack of auxin.

Preventive measures: Aged eucalyptus leaf surface sprayed with zinc sulfate 700 times, or 1 kg of zinc sulfate per acre, can also be sprayed on the surface of the leaves and other zinc-rich nutrients to prevent long-term growth.
