Cultivation Technique of "Xiaza No. 1" Ramie

Urtica belongs to the family Euphorbiaceae, and is also known as kenaf and castor. “Xiazai No.1” Ramie is an efficient cash crop imported from the demonstration base of the Peony Association in Heze City, Shandong Province. It is also an important Chinese herbal medicine. Its seeds, leaves and roots can be used as medicine. It can be planted behind the house, along the ditch sidewalks and on hillside. Generally, the yield per mu is about 250-350 kg and the benefit is 1200-1800 yuan.
First, growth habits. Ramie is relatively adaptable, and its requirements for climate and soil are not strict. In both north and south of China, it can grow on both acidic and alkaline soils, and it is better to use deep and fertile fields. Hi warm, moist, sunny environment, but taboo.
Second, planting methods: breeding with seeds. Can be contiguous or zero-volume cultivation. Choose sunny slopes or fields in the winter or deep spring and deep plowing in the early spring and apply 1000-2000 kg of farmyard manure as base fertilizer. It is better to add 15 kg of urea, 10 kg of diammonium phosphate and 7 kg of potassium sulfate. You can also use the planting in front of the house, the village, the roadside, and the edge of the pond. When the temperature in spring is warmer to 15°C, sowing: sowing by row spacing 100 cm, planting spacing 80 cm, 2-3 tablets per hole. When the soil temperature is around 10°C, the soil can germinate in 10-15 days.
Third, field management
1, thinning and top dressing: Seedlings grow 3-4 true leaves when the weak seedlings; plant height about 20 cm when the Dingmiao, leaving a seedling per hole, Dingmiao combined with cultivator weeding. A nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer is applied when flower spikes are formed to increase the rate of results.
2. Topping: When the seedling height is 40-50 cm, remove the trunk top and promote branching.
3. During the flourishing period of pollination, in the event of rainy weather, artificial pollination or shaking of neighboring plants can be carried out so that the pollen can be scattered on another female flower, which can increase the yield.
4, drainage: ramie bogey water, water easily rot, so pay attention to drainage during the rainy season.
4. Pest Control: The ramie is toxic and there are few pests and diseases. It is only susceptible to the ground tiger during the seedling period. Its control method is the same as other crops.
V. Harvesting and yield: The maturity of ramie fruit is inconsistent and should be harvested in batches. When 80% of the pods on the ear are yellow-brown, the entire panicle is harvested. After the fruit is dried, it is threshed and the seeds can be dried.
