On June 10, 3500 15-day-old broilers raised by a broiler farmer in Fengrun Town, Fengrun District, Tangshan City, suddenly developed the disease. In the first few chickens, a series of symptoms such as lack of energy and decreased appetite appeared. Many of the chickens had the same symptoms the next morning. They were white and lime-like and had more than 70 deaths. According to the clinical symptoms, pathological necropsy and laboratory tests, the author diagnosed the broilers of this farmer as secondary colibacillosis of bursal disease, and took corresponding control measures and received obvious results. The current case diagnosis and treatment is described as follows: 1. Clinical symptoms: Initially, the diseased chicken suffered from depression, loss of appetite, chills, galloping, eyesight, drowsiness, snoring, and hanging wings. Some chickens had scrofula phenomenon. White sticky samples such as egg whites or water samples were soon pulled, and some egg samples with lime-like material were seriously contaminated by feces around the anus. The diseased chicken is severely dehydrated, thirsty, and eventually died of exhaustion. One day after onset, the diseased chickens increased and died, accompanied by respiratory symptoms. 2. Pathological changes: After the necropsy of some dead chickens, it was found that the chickens were dehydrated, the subcutaneous muscles were dry, there were a lot of brush-like blood spots on the chest muscles and leg muscles, and the whole leg muscles were red cloth-like hemorrhage and the liver was pale. The texture becomes brittle, brittle, and blunt edges. At the junction of the glandular stomach and the musculature, there was significant bleeding, increased mucus in the intestinal tract, enlarged swollen tonsillar tonsils, hemorrhage, balloon turbidity, thickening, and yellow cheese-like material appeared on the balloon. The size of the bursae of dermatophytosis is 2 to 3 times that of the original, yellow jelly-like exudates adhere to the surface, bleeding spots and hemorrhage spots on the surface of the bursa of the Fabricius, folds of the internal wall disappear, and white cheese-like exudates are present. There are different degrees of bleeding. Some birds had large amounts of fibrin exudates in the air sacs, heart, liver, and abdominal cavity, showing typical airbag inflammation, pericarditis, hepatic inflammation, and peritonitis. 3, laboratory diagnosis: the diseased chicken's bursa made into a suspension, centrifuged to take the supernatant, adding agar diffusion plate in the central hole, add yolk antibody around the hole, add sample at room temperature for 2 hours until the sample After the diffusion, it was placed in a warm box and observed once every 12 hours. As a result, a precipitation line appeared and was judged to be positive. Therefore, according to the clinical symptoms, necropsy changes and laboratory diagnosis, the author diagnosed the case of broiler chicken infectious bursal disease and E. coli mixed infection. 4. Control methods: The bursa pouch high-immunity yolk antibody is injected intramuscularly with avian cola, 1.0 ml/feather, with Chinese herbal medicine Tian Di Yongning Mixture, 1 bag for every 50 chickens. In the morning, drinking water from poultry cola (astragalus polysaccharides) is 200 kg per bottle, and ceftiofur sodium is 25 kg per bottle for 4 days. In the afternoon, electrolytes were used in conjunction with a VC bag of 1000 kg of water for 5 days. In accordance with the above two prevention and control measures, the broiler of the farmer was controlled to die on the second day. On the third day, the feed intake and spirit of the chicken group basically returned to normal. After five days, the chicken recovered completely and the growth rate accelerated. 5. Experience in diagnosis and treatment: In the course of diagnosis and treatment of the disease, the author found that the virulence of the bursal disease virus was increased, the shed was not sterilized, the environmental sanitation was poor, and the epidemic was not in place. This led to the onset of broilers. Since bursal disease is an immunosuppressive infectious disease, the occurrence of the disease can dramatically reduce the body's immune function and significantly reduce its resistance to other diseases. Escherichia coli is a conditional pathogenic bacteria. When chickens have infectious bursal disease, they are prone to cause E. coli disease, and the chance of mixed infection is quite large. Therefore, in clinical practice, we must treat both bursal disease and E. coli disease in accordance with the principle of treating both diseases and treatments. Only when the two are treated at the same time can we ensure that the diseased chickens recover as quickly as possible.
