Morphology Female adults are 2.5mm long, ovate, with a raised abaxial surface. Antennae 6 knots. The mouthparts are smaller and are located in the forefoot base section. The back edge of the body has a wide-band integrated complex gland, and the central ring is integrated. The anal plate is nearly triangular, with 4-5 long bristle hairs at the rear edge of the gluteal cleft. Insect wax coats resemble red beans. The four valves of the mature adult insects had four white wax bands rolled up, and the center of the shells had a white umbilical point. Male adults dark red, mouthparts black, 6 monocular, tentacles 10, light yellow, translucent white wings. Egg oval, pale purple. The nymph is flat and oval, reddish brown to purple in color. (right)

Life habits are one generation old. The adult females overwinter on the tea branch. In the late May of the following year, the female adults lay their eggs. Each female produces an average of about 200 eggs. In early June, the nymphs began to appear. In late August and early September, the male adults emerged. .
