Introduction: THY-21C oil quality tester instructions THY-21C oil quality tester is developed on the basis of THY-21A type. Thanks to the LCD screen display, the operation of the prompts and the display of the Chinese characters of various indicators, you can intuitively read a variety of data. Equipped with a micro printer and a high-precision A/D conversion circuit, the instrument repeatability is better. When the battery is low, the buzzer will automatically alarm and display. The automatic shutdown function is implemented in an unmanned state. It has the functions of AC and DC (DC can work continuously for 28 hours); it can be charged when AC power is working. In the absence of standard oil, the water content in the oil can be measured. Beautiful appearance and easy operation, suitable for on-site and field work.

How to use: 1. Place the instrument case on the horizontal workbench and open the top cover of the case.

2. Turn on the 220V power supply, turn on the “Power” switch, press the [ON] key, the red light is on, and the instrument is powered on and the self-test is successful. After the LCD screen displays “THY-21C Welcome to Tianhou Electronics”, wait for the keyboard command.

3. Adjust the “0” point, soak the oil chamber with petroleum ether with a boiling range of 60°C～90°C, and then wipe it with a dry cotton ball. In the standby state, press the [Zero] button to enter the zeroing state. The screen displays “Please add sample oil” and waits. At this time, the new oil (ie, the same type of clean oil as the tested oil) is dropped into the oil chamber 3-5 drops.

4. Press [Enter] to enter the zero state.

5. Manually adjust the zero adjustment knob so that the LCD display is within ±0.2 until the LCD displays “Zero Zero Complete!”.

6. Clean the oil chamber, wipe off the oil in the oil chamber with a dry cotton ball, and drip petroleum ether into the oil chamber; then clean the oil chamber with a dry cotton ball.

7. Press [Quick Detection], the LCD will display “Please add oil” and wait.

8. Drip the test oil into the oil chamber for 3-5 drops.

9. Press the [OK] button and the red light will be on.

10. The LCD displays the test data and compares the data with the reference value of the scrap indicator to determine the oil quality status.

Standard test (ST)

1. Adjust Zero (MZ): Same as Quick Test (QT).

2. Press the [Standard] key and the LCD will display “Please enter the oil number”.

3. Press the [0]–[9] number keys to enter the four digit number of the oil to be tested and press the enter key. If the number is entered correctly, “Please add oil” is displayed; if the number is over the boundary, “Oil number error” is displayed, prompting to re-enter.

4. Drip the measured oil into the oil chamber 3-5 drops, press [Enter] to confirm, enter the standard detection state, the red light is on, the LCD screen displays “measurement result” and the test data is displayed in real time.

5. Press [Enter] to confirm, the LCD will display “the measured oil number and the scrap reference value of the oil”. When the “measurement result can be used” is displayed, it indicates that the oil quality is good and can be used continuously; when the measurement result is displayed, the measurement result can no longer be used. Use ", prompts the user that the oil quality has exceeded the standard, should change the oil; when the display "Results are still available", indicating that the oil is about to be scrapped.

6. Press the RESET or ENTER button to return to the prompt “THY-21C”.

7. After the test is completed, clean the oil chamber with petroleum ether and prepare for the next test.

Moisture detection (WT)

1. Press the [Hydro] button (WT) and the screen will display “Please apply oil”; the same as the quick test (QT).

2. Clean the oil chamber while the “THY-21C” is on standby.

3. Press the [Moisture Detection] button, the LCD will display “Please add oil” and fill the oil chamber with the oil to be tested.

4. Press [Enter] to enter the moisture detection state, and the instrument samples once every 5 seconds. The LCD displays the test data “X.XX” in real time.

5. After three minutes, the red light is on, and the LCD displays the test result: “water content = X.XX%”, which is the water percentage.

6. Press any key to return to “THY-21C”, clean the oil chamber and the test ends.

Print function (PRINT)

When the measurement is completed using some method, you can print as needed. The operation method is as follows:

1. Press the print button twice, and the LCD will display “Year”. You can enter the year, which is 4 digits, such as 2007.

2. After the input is completed, press the enter key. At this time, the LCD displays “Month”, you can enter the month. When the number of months is less than 10, add 0, such as 07, 08, etc.

3. After the input is completed, press the enter key. At this time, the LCD displays “Day”, you can enter the date. When the date is less than 10, add 0 to the month, such as 02, 03, etc.

4. Press [Confirm] when the input is complete to print.
