The crape myrtle is used for sowing and breeding. In order to preserve good varieties, cutting propagation can also be carried out. The above two methods are briefly introduced. I. Seed propagation In October to November, the pods on healthy mother plants were harvested at appropriate time and allowed to dry. When the skin is peeling, it will be peeled and netted, kept in a cool place, and sown in the second spring from February to March. Before sowing, soaking in warm water at 45°C to 55°C for 24 hours. A small amount of seeds can be used for indoor potting, and the amount of seeds is suitable for drilling or broadcasting in open fields. After the emergence of the soil to maintain moisture, strengthen the management of water and fertilizer, the appropriate thinning, growth and robustness can be flowering that year. Second, cutting propagation and cutting use spring hardwood cuttings. In March, one-year-old shoots were taken, 15 cm long cuttings were cut, and 2/3 of them were inserted into the soil to keep the soil moist. The rooting rate was more than 80%, and the seedlings could be grown that year. It is also possible to use the current year's branches from June to August, cut off the flower branches on top, cut into 15 cm long cuttings, insert 1/3 of them into the seedbed, and take 20 days to root. In the winter, care should be taken to prevent cold and planting in the second year. China Agricultural Network Editor
